Sadqah Jariyah
May Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful provide us opportunities to do many forms of giving sadaqah for His pleasure and reward us the best life, especially in the Hereafter.
“The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity.” [Tirmidhi]

Sadaqah Jariyah
The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), as narrated by Muslim
“When a son of Adam dies, then his good deeds stop except for three:
1) a Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity).
2) a beneficial knowledge.
3) a righteous child who prays for him.”
For this reason, many Muslims strive to give charity with the desire that it will continue to have benefit to people after their death and continue to earn them rewards.
In surah Al-Baqarah, Allah describes “Those who spend their wealth (in Allah’s Cause) by night and day, in secret and in public, they shall have their reward with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.”
(Quran 2:274)
One of the most important aspects of Islam is Sadaqah. Donating a portion of your blessings (rizk/wealth) to charity, a sincere smile to a fellow human being, and assisting another person in any capacity you are able to are examples of Sadaqah. Most people relate sadaqah with voluntary monetary donations which have no minimum amount required.
It is a duty upon every Muslim to give whatever he or she can. The Prophet (pbuh) once said that “Charity does not decrease the wealth and the servant who forgives, Allah adds to his respect; and the one who shows humility, Allah elevates him in the estimation (of the people)” (Muslim).
When you give sadaqah jariyah, it will support a project of lasting benefit such as:
Examples of sadaqah jariyah are building homes, schools, hospitals, orphanages, water wells, and converting areas of land into farms that produce crops for many years. Amoud Foundation endeavors to have a long-term positive impact on the communities for which it works beyond temporary immediate relief.
Sustainable development is considered a sadaqah jariyah in today’s international development sector. It involves most of the sustainable development programs implemented now and has been advocated by Islam for over 1400 year ago.

These are projects that communities will enjoy and appreciate for years.
May Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful provide us opportunities to do many forms of giving sadaqah for His pleasure and reward us the best life, especially in the Hereafter.
